In today’s class, I looked back and checked the writing of every paragraph. I used the writing tools that Mr. Paterson had taught us to use in the first semester to find out the AWL and reading level of each paragraph I had wrote. It gave me a good idea of how good my writing is, and what kind of grade levels can read the writing I had worked on. I tried to get all of the paragraphs’ AWL to be above a 4, and for this I used the list that has all of the academic words. This helped me drastically make my writing more professional and more summed up. I’ll use these tools in the future as well to improve my writing and vocabulary.
